Nailaholics Pampering Experience #NationalPamperingDay

October 10, 2016

It’s time to celebrate National Pampering Day! For many, a trip to the nail salon or any spa is a rare indulgence. All too often, the daily grind of busy schedules, whether it be because of work or school, keep us from getting the necessary “me-time” that we all crave and need. But as Nailaholics celebrates and takes part in the country’s first ever #NationalPamperingDay, the brand hopes to remind everyone that it’s okay to take some time and spoil yourself a little.

I celebrated it in advance and gave myself the best excuse to have a much needed day of pampering. It has been months since I last visited a salon or spa to relax and just simply make myself relax and give myself a break. Guess what? Nailaholics gave me the chance to spend some time off just relaxing and prettifying my nails!

Yesterday, I went to Nailaholics Salon and Spa Gateway branch (4F, located in the new wing) for my appointment. I was already gasping from the outside when I saw the sign and my mood quickly lightened up upon seeing the aesthetics of the salon! It’s my first time to visit a Nailaholics branch and boy was I just  so stoked about this! Upon entering, I was greeted by their lovely staff and was quickly referred to people who will be attending to the services I was going to avail.

Nailaholics Gateway Branch

Welcome to Nailaholics Nail Salon and Spa!

The place was such a breath of fresh air!

Upon entering, I couldn’t help but be mesmerized by how well thought of the interior of this place was. The mood was so calming and alluring for a time to just sit back, relax, and feel pretty. Aside from the blue colors, it felt a bit summery inside as there were some beach-related wall decors. Their interiors are inviting and the promise of getting whisked away from realities of looming deadlines, to-do lists, traffic, and whatever else awaits outside the doors of this quaint Hamptons-themed escape, becomes possible even if it’s only for a few hours.

Everything was just so appeasing to the eye.

Wait, am I in the salon? Or relaxing in a beach somewhere? 😉

Those star fish wall decors were just so apt for the place!

More spaces for people who want to relax.

I was then asked to sit in my own corner of the salon to have my nails done. The chairs and couches were really comfy plus there were a lot of pillows lying around (who doesn’t want pillows? more pillows = more comfortableness, IMO). I would have dozed off had my nail attendants not talked to me! It was relaxing that way. Gosh, I forgot the last time I felt so loosened up like that

Time to give my nails some lovin’!

I was given a basket of nail polish to choose from. The first basket that was given to me was one filled with OPI Nail Lacquers (not in photos). I wanted this color at first and one of the staff who attended to me, let’s just call her Ate L, told me it was a good choice and that it matched the interiors of Nailaholics.

Then the Branch Supervisor came in and handed me this SpaRitual-filled basket and told me it’s vegan! I don’t know where my obsession with cruelty-free, organic, and vegan products started but I immediately disregarded the first color I chose. I believe the shade of the nail lacquer I chose is Authentically.

I was then asked to dip my toes and hands to soften the nails and free them of dirt. And the cleaning and nail-coloring fun started immediately after!

Here’s Ate L  working on my toes and Ate M (below) working on my hands! I have to say this, I had my mani and pedi at other salons before, but theirs were the lightest hands ever. I guess it all boils down to the training of the employees for Nailaholics. Plus points for that!

My nails starting to have color already after five months of boring nails! Ate M entertained me with her stories and asked a few questions about me while doing my nails. It was a really nice experience as their attendants are really friendly and fond of smiling. I have to say kudos to them for that. I’ve previously visited a salon where the person who was doing my nails was so quiet and just frowned on me the entire mani and pedi session. That doesn’t really help with relaxation! Nailaholics, I can say, provides services that are really efficient. Perhaps no other nail salon in the country is better known for having perfected the art of a quick, urban pampering the way Nailaholics has. I can attest to this!

Rates, rates, rates!

The services I availed were Serene Island Manicure (P190) and Palm Beach Pedicure (P230). Complete rates of Nailaholics services can be found in this link. I would really love to try out their gel polish and foot spa services next time!

Sometimes I wonder if I should try getting my nails pampered but it does not seem to be something men do. LOL. Because I have never experienced nail spa, the one thing that clearly stood out for me while reading your post is the interior decoration. The colors are so calming. Whoever the designer was, GREAT JOB!

Nailaholics used to be my go-to place. The music, the ambience and colors are very calming for me. Plus, the services are really good, not like most salons. Hope to pamper myself very soon!

I missed their National Pampering Day but was able to try them a week after. I loved the ambiance and place. It is so relaxing but not too happy with the mani-pedi service I got.
