Rucy’s Vanity Make-up and Skin Care Review

February 4, 2017

I’m the kind of girl who’s always on the look out for new make-up products to try since I’m still learning. I’ve noticed the recent trend of Korean products both for make-up and skin care. Although not a fan of Koreanovelas, (oh wait, they call it K-drama nowadays, right?) I really admire Korean models and actresses because of how their skin looks. I’ve been meaning to at least try some Korean make-up and skin care products but wasn’t really sure what brands I should check first then I heard about Rucy’s Vanity!

Rucy’s Vanity is the only Korean cosmetic brand that offers high quality cosmetics in a more reasonable price for Filipinas. Let’s face it, investing in having really smooth and beautiful skin is expensive but if you have a way to save more money while actually enjoying the same line of products, why not? All of these awesome and affordable products are made from Korea and are available for sale on their website for pocket-friendly prices! I got all excited when I received this awesome package from Rucy’s Vanity!

Whitening Body Lotion Tropical Fruits – P120 ($2.42)

When I first opened this lotion, I was really happy to know that it had a sweet fruity scent, but just enough. I don’t really like super sweet scents anyway. Of course my skin didn’t whiten immediately upon first use of the product but I basically did feel the effect. What this lotion does is it whitens and softens your skin and protects your skin from contamination, irritations, and free radicals. I did feel my skin become so soft after consistent use of the product.

Other available variants: Acacia and Cactus

Gleamy Lavish Waterproof Mascara – P180 ($3.63)

Rucy’s Vanity’s Mascara comes only in one color which is black. Unlike other mascaras, this one is sweat resistant because it’s waterproof and it’s also hypo-allergenic. I have naturally long lashes but not really that thick so I love that this has a volumizing effect and that it protects my lashes and locks in moisture. It makes my lashes look longer and fuller. From what I’ve read on the site, this is one of the well-loved make-up products from Rucy’s Vanity.

Two-way Cake in Natural Beige – P250 ($5.04)

The thing I love most about this powder and foundation in one is that aside from keeping my face matte all day, it also protects it from UV rays at the same time. It’s non-clogging so people with large pores can use it without worrying! Not really keen on the whitening effect of the powder, I just like using it to keep my face all even out and to hide some unwanted blemishes and it does a good job!

Other available shade: Dark Beige

Auto Eyebrow Pencil in Brown – P80 ($1.61)

I couldn’t believe it at first when I found out how much this brow pencil costs! Srsly, this little thing made me really eager to at least attempt and learn how to do eyebrow make-up! It’s an easy retractable pencil with really soft focus to define eyebrows. I really got into it because the previous eyebrow pencil I bought was really too hard and whenever I attempted to do my brows, I end up looking like Danilo Barrios (here’s a link to the photo for reference LOL). Rucy’s Vanity’s Auto Eyebrow Pencil is perfect for beginners like me!

Other available shades: Black and Grey

Matte Lipstick in Qute Pink – P150 ($3.02)

This Matte Lipstick in Qute Pink is like a breath of fresh air to my daily make-up routine. For the past few months, I’ve been using liquid matte lippies that I actually forgot what using a “normal” lipstick is like. Although I’m not really a fan of the pink shade, I love how gentle this one is on my lips and its anti-wrinkle effect. Aside from using it as is, I mix up it up with my other lippies for a different splash of color.

Verdict

Will I use it? Yes, I’m still using everything! Of course it depends on what color of lippie I want to use, or if I’m in the mood to put on mascara. But yes, definitely using it!

Will I suggest or refer it to others? Of course! I know of a lot of people who are really conscious of the price of make-up products and don’t want to really spend that much but still want to achieve a nice look! I believe Rucy’s Vanity products are also perfect for make-up beginners!

Will I buy it after it’s all consumed? Sure, why not? I do have a lot of other lotion and make-up products I still use and I use each item depending on my need or mood.

Favorite item? Would you actually believe that my favorite item is the Auto Eyebrow Pencil? LOL. It made me really motivated to at least attempt on learning how to do eyebrow make-up.

Where can people buy it? Their very user-friendly website! You can shop there directly.

Oooh, didn’t know Rucy’s Vanity is Korean! I’ve also been mildly obsessed with Korean beauty products lately! But mostly for my acne, huhu.

I love mascaras! Haha I want to try their mascara since it’s volumizing. Same here I have lashes long enough for my contentment haha but I want it to be thicker.
